It’s weird because this year I felt like MAC’s Holiday Collection was very tiny compared to years past. I had hopes of reliving some of the joy I got from the Sweet Vision Magic Dust Powder I love so much! It didn’t quite meet that mark but it sure did come in close! There are actually two of these palettes so I am going to purchase the darker one as well. Next post will be about cool-toned nude shade from this range, Laissez-Faire.I recently purchased the MAC Star-Dipped Face Compact in Light ($42.50) which is part of the MAC Holiday 2019 Collection. If I had something to complain about, I would.you know me, I’m pretty strict with lipsticks:D. This is the best MAC formula I’ve ever tried. Blotted.Ĭonclusion: There is not much to say, frankly speaking. Of course, wearing that thin layer won’t give you same staying power. In second variant, lips look like they are naturally red. This shade looks great both applied to reach full opacity and just dabbed on lips or blotted. It doesn’t bleed and lip contour stays very clean. All colour is still there, but shine is gone. After eating croissant and drinking half of litre of coffee, my lips don’t have any bare patches and still feel like there is something balmy on them. I didn’t eat anything particularly greasy, while wearing this lipstick, but I believe it would melt. It survives huge coffees and eating desserts. Staying power is great for gel-cream type of lipstick. It feels very comfortable, even balmy and not drying at all. It goes on easily, but it doesn’t melt away and you don’t feel like lipstick is moving on your lips.
Formula reminds me of Guerlain Rouge G, but more lightweight, and Lisa Eldridge Luxuriously Lucent lipsticks. It feels like something between gel and cream. Light swipe (bit too much light on this photo). I have deep burgundy lipsticks, but I find this particular shade to be very suitable for days, when you want something interesting but not too vampy or crazy. This is an easy to wear dark-ish autumn shade. I think it’s a mix of warm plum, red and bit of brown.
